Hungerford Properties has officially sold out of all of warehouse units at Fairmore Business Park, a brand new, 7-acre development in Calgary’s south-central neighborhood. Fairmore is the only new office and warehouse condo project in south central Calgary and one of few opportunities to buy new, high-quality, commercial space in the inner city.

Located at Macleod and Glenmore Trail near Chinook Mall, Fairmore offers excellent access to public transit, as well as easy access to nearby amenities. The business park has attracted a wide range of businesses for warehouse space including a craft brewery, an insulation company, a kitchenware company, a beauty retailer and beauty school, an auction services company and a kombucha production company.

“The Fairmore Business Park is considered an ‘A’ class development in the core of Calgary’s business district,” says Paul Marsden, VP at Colliers. “This industrial offering attracted business owners who wanted to own their own space without having to forget their preferred location. As a result, the property was sold out shortly after the construction was complete, and the result is a mix of industrial users who compliment each other and the overall park. Fairmore Business Park has now established itself as a destination for users and customers alike.”

In October 2017, New Level Brewing Co. will be launching an 8,500 SF production facility, retail shop and tap room at Fairmore. The interior of their new space is currently being fitted out ready for opening. Owners Drew and James Ross purchased the warehouse at Fairmore earlier this year because of the location and building quality. “It’s an industrial area, but it’s close to everything,” says Drew. “It’s minutes from Chinook Mall and close to the train so visitors can have a pint and not drive home. And it’s a beautiful building. Everything was so well done with the construction.”

In addition to New Level Brewing Co, Beauty Depot has opened a 12,000 SF retail space and beauty school. “We were blown away by the exteriors,” says owner Vanessa de Mello. “We are in the esthetic business and our clients are 98% female, so we wanted it to look nice with glass windows. We also thought the pricing was competitive and the location at Fairmore Business Park was perfect.”

Hungerford Properties has a successful track record of building commercial condos in other parts of the city, including Northwing Business Park and Nexus Business Centre. What sets their projects apart is the location, upscale urban design and quality construction. Office condos and one retail unit remain for sale at Fairmore. In addition, one final 4,134 SF warehouse unit is available for sale at Nexus.
