We are thrilled to announce that Michael Hungerford, partner of Hungerford Properties, has been nominated to the board of the Canadian Council for Indigenous Business (CCIB). This prestigious nomination recognizes Michael’s dedication to fostering economic reconciliation and empowering Indigenous businesses across Canada.

As an Indigenous owned private enterprise operating in one of the largest industries in the country, Hungerford Properties has always believed in the power of community, collaboration, and economic growth that benefits all. We are committed to doing our part in response to the Truth and Reconciliation Commission's Call to Action 92, aimed at advancing the Indigenous economy and supporting other Indigenous companies.

We are particularly proud that our development at 700 Spland in West Kelowna had nearly 100% of its project costs directed through Indigenous companies. We are striving to replicate this success across our industry, ensuring that our economic activities not only benefit but actively involve Indigenous communities.

“I am honored to join the board of the Canadian Council for Indigenous Business (CCIB). I look forward to continuing this work alongside the CCIB and building bridges between Indigenous and non-Indigenous businesses across the industry.” said Michael Hungerford.

Please join us in congratulating Michael on this incredible honor. We look forward to the positive impact we can achieve through our collective efforts.
