One of our own George W. Hungerford, Partner has been appointed to the Order of British Columbia. Congratulations George! 

VICTORIA – Thirteen British Columbians who have contributed to the province in extraordinary ways will be appointed to the Order of British Columbia, Lt.-Gov. Judith Guichon, Chancellor of the Order, announced today.

“The Order of British Columbia is the province’s most prestigious accolade and is an official part of the Canadian Honours System,” said Guichon. “It is an opportunity to publicly recognize those who have dedicated themselves to bettering the lives of their fellow citizens. These recipients exemplify the positive difference one person can make in a community and are an inspiration to all British Columbians.”

CALGARY — One of Calgary’s most impressive buildings has been sold to a Vancouver-based developer.

The 761,000-square-foot Haworth facility in southeast Calgary, on 18.2 hectares of land, was originally built in 1999 by Calgary entrepreneur, Mogans Smed, and has been called one of the most beautifully created office environments in the country.

The former home to Haworth manufacturing is now poised for an innovative redevelopment by Vancouver-based developer, Hungerford Properties, which has purchased the property.
